What are Lip Fillers?
Lip fillers are an injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound found in the skin and the featured ingredient in many moisturizers keeping the skin hydrated. Fillers work to restore and plump up soft tissue volume, smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and give lips a naturally fuller look.
Should I schedule a consultation first?
Yes, scheduling a consultation before lip filler injections is highly recommended especially if it’s your first time. A lip filler consult allows you to discuss your goals with lip filler and what you’re looking to achieve. This is a great time for you to share your desired lip appearance and any specific concerns you have about the treatment. We will then create a personalized treatment plan for you, including the amount of filler needed and cost of treatment.
Can I get Lip Fillers the same day as my consultation?
Yes, same-day lip filler treatment may be available after your consultation. When you book your appointment online, simply let us know in the “message section” of the online booking.
What is the experience like during a Lip Filler treatment?
The treatment takes about 45 minutes. Our provider will apply a topical numbing cream to your lips and let it absorb for about 15 to 20 minutes prior to injecting your lips and this is to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during the treatment. Next filler will then be injected into your lips and will immediately add structure and volume to the surface. After treatment, ice may be given to ease discomfort and control swelling. Mild swelling, bruising and soreness may occur, this is normal. Results are immediate and last 6-18 months, depending on the filler selected.
Pre & Post Care Instructions

Please ensure that your lips are clean before arriving so that we can accurately assess them and determine the areas that require injections.
Avoid NSAIDS (ie: ibuprofen) and Aleve for 1 week prior
Avoid taking St. John’s Wort and Vitamin E for 1 week prior
Avoid Retin-A, Tretinoin and Retinoids for 3 days prior
Do not drink any alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior
Start Arnica tablets the day before treatment
No dental appointments 2 weeks following the injectable appointment

No makeup right after treatment
No lying down for 4 hours
Avoid touching your lips for 24 hours post treatment except to apply arnica gel
No exercise/working out for 24 hours
Avoid extreme heat or cold for 24 hours
No facials for 2 weeks
Avoid drinking through straws in the immediate 24-48 hours after your lip filler treatment.
